Sammi
Please read carefully before applying
We are looking for a long-term foster home for our beautiful girl, Sammi. She has been in foster care with us for almost a year and is now hoping to find a calm, understanding home where she can continue to feel safe.
Sammi came into our care with a serious injury to one of her legs, which sadly had to be amputated. She has adapted incredibly well to life on three legs and gets around with no problems.
Sammi has also been diagnosed with a liver shunt (portosystemic shunt). This is a congenital or acquired blood vessel abnormality that diverts blood around the liver. Because the liver is unable to filter toxins from the bloodstream properly, these toxins can build up and potentially affect the brain.
At the moment, Sammi is doing very well and is showing no clinical signs related to her liver shunt. However, her long-term prognosis remains uncertain, and she will need a foster home that understands her condition and is happy for us to continue overseeing her veterinary care.
Sammi is an incredibly shy and timid girl. She spends much of her time hiding but will come out for food and treats. She is not aggressive and never lashes out—she is simply a frightened little cat who needs a patient, quiet home where she can feel secure and learn to trust again .
Sammi’s ideal foster home:
Indoor-only home
No children
Ideally within 30 minutes of our vets in Grays, where she is registered
All veterinary costs will be covered by us
No dogs
Sammi is neutered and up to date on flea and worming and you can meet her in Tilbury.
