Meet Romeo he is officially one in 3,000 – a rare male tortoiseshell, making him a very special boy who’s now searching for his forever home.

Weighing in at 4.5kg, Romeo is a big, gentle giant aged around 11–12 years. He’s friendly, chilled, affectionate, and absolutely loves a fuss. Although he can be a little shy at first, he’s never shy about showing affection. He’s the kind of cat who will happily climb onto your lap, curl up as though he’s always belonged there, and purr contentedly as if he’s finally home.

Romeo adores human company and thrives on being close to his people, whether that’s snuggling on the sofa or simply following you around for attention. He’s a wonderful companion with a calm, loving nature and is confident around visitors. He may also be able to live with another friendly, easy-going cat.

Despite his age, Romeo is still playful, curious, and enjoys exploring. Beneath his gentle nature is a huge personality waiting to blossom and an even bigger heart ready to give so much love. He’s also a real purr monster – you’ll always know where he is because you can hear his happy purr from across the room!
Romeo enjoys spending time outdoors, so he’ll need a home with access to a safe, secure garden where he can explore and relax. He’s also a big foodie who never says no to a tasty treat, usually followed by a cosy afternoon snooze in a sunny spot.

Romeo is looking for a special family with patience, kindness, and understanding. His last few months have been difficult, as he was sadly returned to us and needed treatment for stress-related cystitis. Thankfully, he has now made a full recovery. He is fully litter trained, keeps himself beautifully clean, and is now ready to leave the past behind and start the happy new chapter he truly deserves.
